Jen Ramos, of the popular blog and shop Made By Girl, recently launched a new site named Cocoa and Hearts where she sells her original paintings. In her own words...
"This time around I've decided to tackle my first CRUSH.... painting. My parents were the first who saw me draw and paint & they would always tell me I should become an artist. For some reason being an artist didn't appeal to me. So, I shrugged it off. As I grew older I met a variety of artists in NYC & it seemed most of them were somewhat starving artists. That scared me. Either way, the love for art pulled me back in & here I am for the first time, sharing my work with all of you. I thank God for the ability to be able to use my hands to paint. This should be an interesting journey..... I hope that you'll love what you see enough to make one of my paintings your own."
I recently had the pleasure of meeting Jen in NYC, and she is as beautiful and kind as she is talented. I'm predicting her parents were on to something with their advice.
